SENVIBE Glossary Published, 28 May 2021

SENVIBE Glossary is one of the deliverables of the SENVIBE project. This publication consists of two parts. The first part describes the relevant field-specific terms associated with noise and vibration, as well as with the accompanying phenomena and systems in which they occur. The terms are defined descriptively to cover the widest possible end-users of this publication, without restricting it to only academic approach that would ask for previous knowledge of mathematical formulations. Some definitions are taken over from official standards. The second part of the publication presents descriptions of European and national regulations in the field of noise and vibration in the context of environmental protection and occupational safety. The entire publication is bilingual in Serbian and English to enable readers to better understand and work in national and international settings.

The publication is designed and edited by Professor Ivana Kovačić from the University of Novi Sad. The contributing authors for the first part of the publication are: University of Novi Sad (Livija Cvetićanin, Nikša Jakovljević, Ivana Kovačić, Branislav Popović, Dragi Radomirović, Dragana Štrbac, Miodrag Zuković), University of Niš (Marko Ličanin, Darko Mihajlov, Momir Praščević), University of Kragujevac (Nebojša Bogojević, Snežana Ćirić Kostić, Branko Radičević, Zlatan Šoškić, Jelena Tomić), Educons University, Sremska Kamenica (Marijana Apić, Biljana Panin, Mira Pucarević, Tatjana Taušanović), Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden (Hans Bodén), University of Southampton, Institute for Sound and Vibration Research, Southampton, Great Britain (Neil Ferguson) and the Institute for Occupational Health, Novi Sad (Ivan Lomen, Milorad Španović).
