With the aim of celebrating 26th International Noise Awareness Day, the SENVIBE project team organized an on-line event, which took place on 28 April 2021.
The opportunity was taken to launch the work of No&Vib Hub – a central unit for cooperation among the key stakeholders engaged in noise and vibration management. Professor Ivana Kovačić presented its aim, mission, members as well as the programme for the next six months. Zorana Georijev presented a report on the noise monitoring for Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. In order to raise awareness of the harmful effects of noise on hearing, health and quality of life, Professor Milorad Španović talked about health effects of environmental and occupational noise. Finally, in order to increase public awareness of the recent project results, the special attention was given to the promotion of SENVIBE Glossary. Its editor, Professor Ivana Kovačić and two reviewers, Professor Aleksandar Pavić (University of Exeter) and Professor Momir Praščević (University of Niš), presented this bilingual dictionary of relevant field-specific terms associated with noise and vibration, as well as descriptions of European and national regulations in the field of noise and vibration in the context of environmental protection and occupational safety.
